Criss Angel Believe show
Just prior to the show’s opening curtain, Gig arranged with someone he knew in the lighting department to have his friend designated as the scheduled audience plant, who was provided with a sign for her to hold up with instructions on cheering as the show began. She was called either the billboard girl, card girl or sign girl. Gig does not remember the specifics. Gig and his friend sat in the front of the showroom, approximately in the second row, and as the show began Gig’s friend stood up with the provided sign cheering for Criss and got to go to the stage to meet him. After the show Gig and his friend were ushered to a holding room for a meeting with Criss, but due to an event earlier in the day that Criss had to tend too, Criss was unable to meet. Gig believes it was Criss‘ brother or cousin that came to the designated meet and greet room to apologize that Criss was not going to be able to meet with them.
Gig was friendly with Criss‘ publicist, and about a year earlier she told Gig not to meet Criss with a girlfriend because Criss will try to “take her”. If Gig ever writes a book he may add some additional details that were disclosed to him by another friend of Gig’s that attended a party with Criss

Gig received an email from one of his casting agents, in approximately 2012 or 2013, when they were seeking new members for this show. Gig thinks he recalls that some of the requirements were that the audiontioners had to have percussion skills, emotionless comedy skills and timing, and were to be approximately five feet ten inches tall.

When she went onstage she was asked about her name “Gig”, which is the name Gig filled out on the submission form, and the interviewer said that the only other time he had heard of the name was from the actor Gig Young, which is exactly where Gig’s mother got the name.
